How Hemingford Grey Parish Council and the Marsh Lane Lakes steering group use the personal information you give us through this website and on paper forms.

Who we are

The data controller is Hemingford Grey Parish Council. The Marsh Lane Lakes steering group is supported by Hemingford Grey Parish Council. Contact: the Parish Clerk, Ben Stoehr, 01954 210241, parish.clerk@hemingfordgreyparishcouncil.gov.uk.

What we collect

Only what you give us: your name, address, postcode, email address, phone number, pledge amount, the skills you offer, and the content of any message you send. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics that identify you.

Why we use it

  • To record and later follow up your pledge, if the bid succeeds.
  • To contact you about volunteering opportunities and activities related to this project.
  • To send you campaign updates, if you asked for them.
  • To reply to your enquiry.

Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on each form. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who sees it

Your information is stored securely and accessed only by authorised organisers. We will not share it with third parties unless required by law or with your explicit consent. Forms submitted through this website are delivered to us by an email form service; that provider processes the data only to deliver it to us.

How long we keep it

Only for as long as it is needed for project administration. If a decision is made not to go ahead with the purchase, or a purchase attempt is unsuccessful, your details will be deleted.

Your rights

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, request that we delete your personal information, and withdraw your consent for us to contact you at any time. To exercise any of these, contact the Parish Clerk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
